English in Action

In the week before the semester break the third classes had their English in Action week.

It was very cool and lots of fun. Every day we had six lessons. Our teachers came from the Stafford House School in Canterbury, England. They were very nice and funny. They divided our three third classes into five groups. Each group had one or two teachers. They taught us things about the weather, Scotland, "Nessie", the Royal Family, the London Underground, food, Brighton Rocks and Stonehenge. Every day in the fifth lesson we worked on our projects. Working on the projects was always great fun because we were allowed to decide for ourselves what we wanted to do; for example, creating a magazine.
Every day in the 6th lesson we studied for our show. I think this was the best part of the day. Each group made their own show. The shows were about TV-shows-like England’s Next Top Model, "Wetten dass?", MTV or Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, Titanic and a Fairy Tale. On Friday we presented our projects and our show to our parents, teachers and the other students.
It was a wonderful week and we all enjoyed it very much.
